We poked around Gigbot’s database recently while working on some material for next week’s Create Denver Week and came up with some fun numbers. Gigbot has seen a lot more activity this past year, and all of the information Gigbot provides and receives regarding venue events, show attendances, and band appearances is big and has been fun to review.

To share just one piece of the data, we made a poster to display the bands who played the most shows in 2009. This list represents the top 100 (of 4,878) bands in the Denver area who performed publicly between 12:01 AM January 1 2009 - 11:59 PM December 31 as listed on gigbot.com.

Maybe some of your favorite Colorado bands are made the list. A version of this list will be on display in poster form at the Create Denver Record Store - an installation piece covering Denver music, past and present, curated and designed by the talented Justin Fuller.
